Introduction
First Eastbay model introduced in 1994 combined Downeast styling with deep-V performance and meticulous finish. Expansive teak interior with top quality furnishings is elegant ultimately practical for a small family. Helm visibility is excellent. Large cockpit has built-in seating. Teak swim platform radar mast foredeck storage lockers were standard. Excellent engine access. Definitely a head turner. SOME TRADES CONSIDERED!
Accomodations
A typical Eastbay 38 layout with large V-berth forward followed by an enclosed head and shower to port. Opposite is a large bureau and hanging locker. The main salon consists of a large U-shaped galley to port and a U-shaped settee to starboard equipped with a high/low dining table. Above the settee is an open bookshelf and varnished teak cabinets. The interior is beautifully finished with white bulkheads in the galley and head accented with high gloss teak trim. The bulkheads surrounding the U-shaped settee are high gloss varnished teak done in 2005. All the cabinets in the galley salon and forward cabin are high gloss varnished teak. The sole is high gloss teak and holly. The forward cabin teak hull ceilings are painted satin finish white for a light and airy feeling. The forward cabin is very roomy and comfortable. The opening ports are stainless steel and equipped with screens and custom stainless steel curtains rods. The head is equipped with a Groco electrically operated toilet. There is hot and cold pressure water shower holding tank indicator cultured marble counter top and adequate storage for other toiletries and an electric head ventilation fan. The interior cushions are custom light blue leatherette. As in all Eastbays attention is given to detail. Storage space is abundant for a vessel of this size.
